Getting Started with your VDS Manager
The Jumpline.com VDS Manager is your main management interface for working with your website. From the VDS Manager, you can maintain email accounts, add additional websites, install additional software on your account, and control a variety of technical settings for your account.
Accessing the VDS Manager
Log in to your VDS Manager by clicking the 'Login to VDS Manager' link from the Products page of the Customer Manager, which is located at https://my.jumpline.com.

Once you are logged in to the VDS Manager, you will see the following links on the left:
- Home - This section includes statistics and technical details regarding your hosting account
- Accounts Usage - Here, you can see how much disk space your email and FTP users are using inside of your VDS
- Bandwidth Usage - Use this area to keep track of your historical bandwidth usage.
- Accounts - This area allows you to create new email and FTP users
- Aliases - From here, you can create email aliases to forward email to other addresses
- Mail Settings - These advanced settings are only for use by users with a complex offsite mailserver setup
- Anonymous FTP - This section allows you to enable connections to your account that do not require a password
- Web Server - Use this section to restart your VDS, which is used if you ever edit configuration files or are having trouble with your site
- System - Use this section to make advanced changes to the account, such as disabling SSH access
- IP Filtering - Here, you can modify firewall settings to block access from particular IP addresses
- Backup Site - From this tool, you can download a backup of your website to your computer
- Restore Site - Use this to restore downloaded backups of your site
- File Manager - This conveniant tool allows you to edit your website contents from your browser
- Install & Manage - Use this area to install ValueApps, which are software programs that are included with your account for use on your site
- Domains - Here, you can create and manage virtual hosts and parked domains hosted in your VDS
- Web Aliases - This advanced section is for users who need to customize URLs for custom applications
- DNS Records - Use this area to modify the DNS records associated with your domains hosted with Jumpline.com
Viewing or Changing your VDS Login Information
Some ValueApps will require that you enter the VDS login information, which is also used for accessing your sites files via SSH and FTP. You can view and update this information from the customer manager.
Log in to the Customer Manager at https://my.jumpline.com, then click on the Products tab at the top if you are not automatically redirected to your primary product details page.
Click on the FTP Settings icon.
This dialog will show you the current username and password for your VDS; you can click on the Edit icon to change the password.

Other Ways to Access the VDS Manager
If you ever need to access the VDS Manager from outside of the Customer Manager, you can do so by visiting http://yoursitedomain.com/manager/ - you will be prompted for the VDS username and password.
