The Weblog ValueApp allows others to create a user account with your blog. By creating a user account, a user will be able to post comments without having to enter their contact information each time they wish to comment, and will give you the option to promote them to an author. Authors are blog users that have access to create posts in your weblog.

You can view and manage your users using the “Users” tab at the top of the Weblog admin page. The Your Profile page allows you to enter information about yourself; depending on what theme you use, this information will be shown on the sidebar of your blog. Not all themes display this information. From the bottom of the Your Profile sub-page, you can update the password that is used for logging in to the admin area of your Weblog.

If you wish to manage your users and authors, click on the “Authors & Users” sub-section after clicking on the Users tab at the top of the page. This page allows you to delete or edit any existing user, create a new user, or promote a user to be an author. To allow one of your registered users to be an author, select the checkbox next to their entry, and use the “Set the Role of checked users to:” drop-down to select a new user level for the selected users.
