Unable to Publish with FrontPage

The topic of this article is not supported by our customer support department, however for your convenience we are providing this material to assist you in troubleshooting potential issues related to this topic.

If you are unable to publish with FrontPage, the first thing to check is to be sure that your domain name has the correct nameservers on file.

Jumpline.com’s Nameservers are:

Primary Nameserver

ns1.myhostcenter.com
64.6.240.120

Secondary Nameserver

ns2.myhostcenter.com
64.6.240.130

Be sure to review our documentation on updating your nameservers; if you have recently changed the nameservers or purchased the domain, it can take up to 24-48 hours for the name to begin working properly. You will not be able to publish with FrontPage during this period.

If the domain name is set up properly, you must insure that the FrontPage extensions are installed on your account. Once you have installed the extensions, be sure that you are using the correct publish destination in the Publish Web or Remote Website Settings dialoginside of FrontPage:

http://yoursitedomain.com/

Do not include the www. in the web address to publish to.

Additionally, be sure that you are entering the username and password for FrontPage just as you entered it when you installed the FrontPage Extensions.

If you continue to have problems, try removing and re-installing the FrontPage extensions on your account; from the VDS Manager, click the Install & Manage section on the left, then the Web Development header. Check the box next to the FrontPage Extensions and click Remove, then follow our installation instructions to re-add the extensions to your account.
