Creating an Add-on Domain

The topic of this article is supported in its entirety by our customer support department.

With some existing cPanel hosting accounts you are able to have multiple domains hosted on your account. This works by creating a new directory on your server to act as the web root for the new website, and pointing the new domain to that folder. To create an Add-on domain:

• Log into your Customer Manager through your customer manager at https://my.jumpline.com
• Click on “My Products” and then “Control” panel across from your hosting package
• On the cPanel home screen, click on the “Addon Domains” icon underneath the “Domains” heading
• Next specify the domain name, the FTP user name, the directory you’ve created to be the web root for the new site and password for the FTP account
• Click the “Add Domain!” button

Important Note: : Be sure that the domain’s name servers are pointed to ns1.myhostcenter.com and ns2.myhostcenter.com. This is done with your domain registrar. If you’ve purchased a domain name package with us, then your name servers are set to this by default.
